Candids From Hike to Half Dome : These photographs were taken on a trip to Yosemite and hike up Half Dome in August of 2007. When planning for the Half Dome hike prepare for the worst case scenario in case it gets dark and you are still on the trail. Bring plenty of water & snacks, a flashlight, a polarizing filter for your camera, and leave early in the morning. In our case we left around 6:00 am and returned round 6:00 pm. The hike can take less time but plan on a longer trip especially if you take photographs throughout. One of the best things about the trip is not only the enjoyment of accomplishing the 17 mile round trip hike or being able to take some great photographs, but that you will meet some friendly and interesting people from all over the world during your hike and at the summit!
